Size & Buying Guide

Every bauble is hand-blown glass, and its size decides how much room our artists have for your message. Here's how the sizes compare — and everything else worth knowing before you make one yours.

Small — 6 cm

Dainty and light — lovely for office gifts, kids' first baubles and smaller trees, or as the supporting cast around a feature piece. Perfect for smaller trees.

Fits up to 2 words — a name, a nickname.

Medium — 8 cm

The classic. Our most popular size — and what you'd find in most retail outlets. Sits beautifully on normal sized trees.

Fits up to 3 words — names and dates sit comfortably.

Shop Medium

Shaped — 9 cm

Hearts, stars, snow globes — and one avocado. Shaped baubles bring personality to the branch.

Word limits vary by shape — each product page shows its own.

Large — 10 cm

The statement piece. Extra glass means extra room for the artist's brush — the pick for family baubles and the really special gifts.

Fits up to 4 words — room for the whole family.

Choosing your words

Your words

Small fits 2 words, Medium 3, Large 4, Stockings 2. Fewer words means larger, more graceful lettering — the limit is what keeps it beautiful.

On the house

Little words — &, of, the, 1st, my — don't count toward your limit, nor do we charge for this.

The year has its own field, so "The Smiths" plus 2026 fits a Medium with room to spare.

Writing colours

Eleven hand-painted glitter colours, from classic gold and silver to rose gold and aqua. Every word is lettered by hand — pick a colour that sings against the glass.

By occasion

First Christmas

The one that starts the collection. Soft blues, pinks and whites, made to be hung for decades.

Kids

The labrador makes the tree, obviously. Add their name for full family-member status.

Tie one above the cap and an ornament becomes an occasion.

Care & keeping

Handle by the body rather than the cap, hang the precious ones above toddler height, and store them in their box between Decembers. Charms, at a dainty 4 cm, are the one thing we don't personalise; everything else on the tree can carry a name.
